jumuaa prayer

IBN OMAR رضي الله عنهما SAID,’THE PROPHET صلي الله عليه و سلم FORBADE THAT A MAN SHOULD  MAKE ANOTHER MAN TO GET UP TO SIT IN HIS PLACE. I SAID IS IT FOR JUMUAA PRAYER ONLY ? HE REPLIED ” FOR JUMUAA PRAYER AND ALSO FOR ANY OTHER( PRAYER)”

The Hadith of Jibreel

On the authority of Umar also who said: One day, while we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), there came before us a man with extremely white clothing and extremely black hair. There were no signs of travel on him and none of us knew him. He [came and] sat next to the Prophet (peace be upon him). He supported his knees up against the knees of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and put his hands on his thighs.

He said, “O Muhammad, tell me about Islam.” The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Islam is to testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, to establish the prayers, to pay Zakat, to fast [the month of] Ramadhaan, and to make pilgrimage to the House if you have the means to do so.” He said, “You have spoken truthfully [or correctly].” We were amazed that he asks the question and then he says that he had spoken truthfully.

He said, “Tell me about Imaan (faith).” He [the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)] responded, “It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day and to believe in divine decree, [both] the good and the evil thereof.” He said, “You have spoken truthfully.”

He said, “Tell me about al-Ihsaan (goodness).” He [the Prophet] answered, “It is that you worship Allah as if you see Him. And even though you do not see Him, [you know] He sees you.”

He said, “Tell me about [the time of] the Hour.” He [the Prophet (peace be upon him)] answered, “The one being asked does not know more than the one asking.” He said, “Tell me about its signs.” He answered, “The slave-girl shall give birth to her master, and you will see the barefooted, scantily-clothed, destitute shepherds competing in constructing lofty buildings.”

Then he went away. I stayed for a long time. Then he [the Prophet (peace be upon him)] said, “O Umar, do you know who the questioner was?” I said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said, “It was [the Angel] Gabriel who came to teach you your religion.”

BOOK OF FAITH

NARRATED ABU BAKRAH (رضي الله عنه): I HEARD MESSENGER OF الله ALLAH (صلى الله عليه و سلم) SAYING,

“WHEN TWO MUSLIMS FIGHT (MEET) EACH OTHER WITH THEIR SWORDS, BOTH THE MURDERER AS WELL AS THE THE MURDERED WILL GO TO THE HELL-FIRE,” I SAID “O الله ALLAH’S MESSENGER (صلى الله عليه و سلم)! IT IS ALRIGHT FOR THE MURDERER BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MURDERED ONE ?” اللهALLAH’S MESSENGER (صلى الله عليه و سلم) REPLIED, “HE SURELY HAD THE INTENTION TO KILL HIS COMPANION.”

Saum (fasting)

Narrated ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) Allah’s messenger (صلي الله عليه و سلم) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Jibrael (Gabriel) (عليه السلام) met him. He Jibrael used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qu’ran. Allah’s messenger (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was the most generous person, even more generous than the fair winds [sent (by Allah) with glad tidings (rain) in readiness and hast to do charitable deeds].

Book of Saum (fasting)

RASSUL ALLAH (SALLA ALAHO ALAIHI WA SALLAM) SAID:

THE REWARD OF EVERY(GOOD) DEED OF A PERSON IS MULTIPLIED FROM TEN TO SEVEN HUNDRED TIMES. ALLAH عز و جل SAYS: “THE REWARD OF OBSERVING SAUM (FASTING) IS DIFFERENT FROM THE REWARD OF OTHER GOOD DEEDS; SAUM (FASTING) IS FOR ME, AND I ALONE WILL GIVE ITS REWARD. THE PERSON OBSERVING SAUM (FASTING) ABSTAINS FROM FOOD AND DRINK ONLY FOR MY SAKE. THE FASTING PERSON HAS TWO JOYOUS OCCASIONS, ONE AT THE TIME OF BREAKING HIS SAUM (FASTING), AND THE OTHER AT THE TIME OF MEETING HIS RUBB (الله). SURELY, THE BREATH OF ONE OBSERVING SAUM (FASTING) IS BETTER SMELLING TO ALLAH (الله) THAN THE FRAGRANCE OF MUSK.”

NARRATED BY MUSLIM

Saum (Fasting)

ALLAH’S MESSENGER (صلى الله عليه و سلم) SAID:

WHOEVER ESTABLISHES(NAWAFIL-VOLUNTARY) PRAYERS DURING THE NIGHT OF RAMADHAN FAITHFULLY OUT OF SINCERE FAITH AND HOPING TO ATTAIN ALLAH’S REWARDS,ALL HIS PAST SINS WILL BE FORGIVEN.

NARRATED ABU HURAIRA(RA)

عن ابي هريرة (رضي الله عنه) ان رسول الله (صلى الله عليه و سلم) قال :من قام رمضان ,امانا و احتسابا,غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه

BOOK OF SAUM (FASTING)

NARATTED ABU HURAIRA (RADIYA ALLAHOU AANHOU)

THE PROPHET SALA ALLAHOU ALAIHI WA SALAM SAID: IF SOMEBODY EATS OR DRINKS FORGETFULLY THEN HE SHOULD COMPLETE HIS SAUM (FAST), FOR WHAT HE HAS EATEN OR DRUNK, HAS BEEN GIVEN TO HIM BY ALLAH

The Book of Patience

Abu Hurayra (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If Allah wants to do good to somebody, he afflicts him with trials.”
Sahih Bukhari.

عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم قال: (من يرد الله به خيرا يصب منه) صحيح البخاري

The actions are but judged according to intentions

It is related by Umar Ibn al-Khattab (رضى الله تعالى عنه ) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) say: The actions are but judged according to intentions; and to every man is due what he intended. Thus, whosoever migrates for the sake of Allah (SWT) and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) (and there is no other motive of his migration except compliance with the commands of Allah (SWT) and his Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) and winning of their good pleasure), his migration is accounted for the sake of Allah and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) (and doubtlessly, he is to true Muhajir- Emigrant- and shall receive the recompense prescribed for Hijrat-Migration-towards Allah and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم )); and whosoever migrates for the sake of this world or to wed a woman (his migration will not be for Allah and the Prophet [صلى الله عليه وسلم ]), and will be accounted only for the purpose for which it is intended. (Bukhari and Muslim)
