Virtues of the Qu’ran

Narrated Abu Musaرضي الله عنه :

The prophetصلي الله عليه و سلم said,( The example of a believer who recites the Qu’ran and acts on it ,is like a citron which testes nice and smells nice. And the example of a believer who does not recite the Qu’ran but acts on it is like a date which tastes good but has no smell. And the example of a hypocrite who recites the Qu’ran is like a Raihana(sweet basil) which smells good but testes bitter.And the example of a hypocrite who does not recite the Qu’ran is like a colocynth which testes bitter and has a bad smell.)

Narrated Aishaرضي الله عنها the prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم said; [ whoever performs a( good) deed which we have not ordered (anyone) to do ( or is not in accord with our religion of islamic monotheism), then that deed will be rejected and will not be accepted.]                    sahih boukhari

 

Narrated Aishaرضي الله عنها the prophetصلي الله عليه و سلم said; [ if somebody innovates something which is not present in our religion( of islamic monotheism), then that thing will be rejected].

Narrated Abu Qatada رضي الله عنه : The Prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم said,” a good righteous dreams is from Allahالله, and a bad or evil dream is from Satan; so if anyone of you has a bad dream of which he gets afraid, he should spit on his left side and should seek refuge with Allahالله from it evil, for then it will not harm him.”                                                                           Boukhari

 

Narrated Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه :The Prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم said , ” if anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night.”        Boukhari

 

 

 

day of ashoura 10th muharrem

narrated ibn abbasرضي الله عنه the prophetصلي الله عليه و سلم came to al madina and saw the jews fasting on the day of ashouraعاشوراء he asked them about that . they replied,< this is a good day, the day on which allahالله rescued bani-israel from their enemy , so musa<moses> observed saum <fast> on this day>. the prophetصلي الله عليه و سلم said,< we have more claim over musa< moses> than you>. so the prophetصلي الله عليه و سلم observed saum<fast> on that day and ordered < the muslims> to observe saum<fast> <on that day>.                                                                     sahih al boukhari

 

abu qatadahرضي الله عنه reported : the prophetصلي الله عليه و سلم was asked about the observing of as-saum< fast> on the 10th of muharrem< day of ashoura> and he replied , < it is an expiation for the sins of the preceding year>.                                 riadh assalihin

abu huraira رضي الله عنه reported: messenger of(الله) allah(صلي الله عليه و سلم) said:< should i not direct you to something by which allahالله obliterates the sins and elevates (your) ranks.> they said:< yes o messenger of allahالله> he said ,<performing wudu( ablution) properly, even in difficulty, frequently going to the mosque, and waiting eagerly for the next salat (prayer) after a salat is over, indeed that is ar-ribat(الرباط ).

NARRATED IBN ABBASرضي الله عنهما:THE PROPHETصلي الله عليه و سلم SAID,” THE MOST HATED PERSONS WITH ALLAHالله ARE THREE:

1-A PERSON WHO DEVIATES FROM THE RIGHT CONDUCT,(I.E., AN EVIL- DOER),IN THE HARAM(SANCTUARY OF MAKKA AND AL-MADINA);

2-A PERSON WHO SEEKS THAT THE TRADITIONS OF THE PERIOD OF IGNORANCE(JAHILIYA) SHOULD REMAIN IN ISLAM;

3-AND A PERSON WHO SEEKS TO SHED SOMEBODY’S BLOOD WITHOUT ANY RIGHT.”

NARRATED ABBULLAH BI AMR رضي الله عنهما: A MAN ASKED THE PROPHET صلي الله عليه و سلم

“WHAT SORT OF DEEDS OR TRAITS OF ISLAM ARE GOOD ?” THE PROPHETصلي الله عليه و سلم SAID ,”TO FEED OTHERS ,AND TO GREET THOSE WHOM YOU KNOW AND THOSE WHOM YOU DO NOT KNOW.”

NARRATED ABUHURAIRA رضي الله عنه: ALLAH’S MESSENGERصلي الله عليه و سلم SAID,”ALLAH SAYS,’IF MY SLAVE INTENDS TO DO A BAD DEED THEN(O ANGELS) DO NOT WRITE IT UNLESS HE DOES IT; IF HE DOES IT,THEN WRITE IT AS IT IS, BUT IF HE REFRAINS FROM DOING IT FOR MY SAKE,THEN WRITE IT AS A GOOD DEED(IN HIS ACCOUNT). (ON THE OTHER HAND) IF HE INTENDS TO DO A GOOD DEED,BUT DOES NOT DO IT THEN WRITE A GOOD DEED(IN HIS ACCOUNT),AND IF HE DOES IT,THEN WRITE IT FOR HIM(IN HIS ACCOUNT) AS TEN GOOD DEEDS UP TO SEVEN-HUNDRED TIMES.'”

Islam Has Been Built on Five [Pillars]

On the authority of Abu Abdul Rahmaan Abdullah, the son of Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allah be please with them both) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: “Islam is built upon five [pillars]: testifying that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the prayers, giving zakat, making pilgrimage to the House and fasting the month of Ramadhaan.”

NARRATED ABU AYUB AL-ANSARI رضي الله عنه THE PROPHET صلي الله عليه و سلم SAID,”IF ANYONE OF YOU GOES TO AN OPEN AIR FOR ANSWERING THE CALL OF NATURE HE SHOULD NEITHER FACE NOR TURN HIS BACK TOWARD THE QIBLA:HE SHOULD EITHER FACE THE EAST OR THE WEST.”
